๐ฑ Verdant Cell (PSN)
Automated resilience, one shed at a time.
Small, documented, and reproducible.
๐ PSN Overview & Master Docs

- Documentation Standards (naming, templates):
- Embercore (reference project):
TL;DR: PSN is the way we collect, name, and ship projects so humans (and robots) can repeat them without guessing.
๐ Start Here (Verdant Cell)
- Phase 1 (Build & Bring-up):
- Arduino Code:
- Diagrams & Pinouts:
๐ Live Ops
- Daily Log (spreadsheet):
Verdant cell daily log.xlsx
(in The Verdant cell/Docs)
- Current Phase: 1.3 โ Initial Grow Cycle
- Milestones to watch: Germination โ Pump counter on OLED โ Week-long stability โ First harvest.
Want the fast story? Phase 1.2 closed with a fully automated rig (pump, lights, fan, RTC, OLED).
Phase 1.3 kicked off with seeds planted and 24-hour baseline collected.
๐งช How to Replicate (high level)
- Power: 12 V โ buck to clean 5 V โ feed Arduino 5V pin + relay VCC (common ground).
- Sensors: 4ร soil moisture (A0โA3) with per-sensor dry/wet calibration.
- Actuators: Pump, Light Zone 1, Light Zone 2, Fan on relay board (active-LOW safe boot).
- Control: RTC-scheduled lights + moisture threshold pump (hysteresis + cooldown).
- UI: 128ร64 OLED shows date/time, 4ร moisture %, avg %, T/RH, and actuator states.
Full details are in the docs above. If you follow the wiring + code as-is, youโll match the reference build.
๐ ๏ธ Roadmap (near term)
- Add pump cycle counter to OLED + serial logs.
- Tidy fan wiring (strain relief, clips).
- Networking upgrade to enable live telemetry sync from shed laptop (Phase 2 anchor).
